This book made me laugh out loud, cry, guiltily snigger, and wag metaphorical fingers at the VOMITS. As a seasoned visitor to Bodrum I know them all - the non-conformist Turks, the snooty ex-pats at Palmarina, the sexually ambiguous waiters, the chancers, the fabulous and the desperados. All of them with their own tales. A brilliant account of a couple attempting to navigate their way around strange dishes (tripe stew?!); even stranger characters - all told with affection, love and some seriously acid humour (though even the latter comes with a heart).
