Jack Scott completed one of our first Expat Interviews, "From London to Bodrum: Perking the Pansies and Surviving the Expats in Turkey". Since that time, his blog of life in Turkey has grown tremendously. He translated his success into a memoir of his expat adventures and spoke with us about the difficulties of taking an expat blog to a book.
Read more... You may remember a little while back that I wrote about my new friend, Jack Scott, author of the blog, Perking the Pansies. He had written a book by the same name. Jack was kind enough to share a copy with me. I am only about half way through it – but I have decided to share more of Jack with you! The book is hilarious so far! I highly encourage you to buy the book! Jack is a world traveler from the U.K. He and his husband Liam moved to just outside of Bodrum, Turkey and share an adventurous life which Jack writes about in his book. More... _Russell is a hunky Brit vetpat who’s travelled across three continents with his gorgeous Aussie wife, Sarah, in search of a life less ordinary. He’s found it in Sydney (who wouldn’t?). Although Russ bats for the majority team, he’s very much a modern metrosexual kind of man and looks absolutely fabulous in his AussieBums (or so Sarah says). For those who have no idea what AussiesBums are, I’ve added a link for your titillation. Russ kindly interviewed me as part of my virtual book tour. Hop over to A Life Less Ordinary to find out what I had to say. While you are there, why not check out the book? _I’ve been a big fan of the Turkish Travel Blog for quite a while. Natalie works bloody hard to bring her readers the best that the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts of Turkey have to offer. Natalie travels extensively to give a personal touch to her posts. Believe me, this isn’t true of some travel sites which can be based on (sometimes inaccurate) second and third hand experiences. Been there, done that? Natalie has. She bought the T-shirt. Natalie interviewed me as part of the book tour. It’s my fourth interview and makes me feel like a renascent Hollywood star of yesteryear doing the studio rounds to promote my latest must-see comeback flick. I’m ready for my close up, Mr DeMille (the oft misquoted line from Sunset Boulevard). Check out my chat with Nat. |
